The success of the Kibali gold mine had spurred Randgold Resources to expand its footprint in the Democratic Republic of Congo and a number of new joint-venture agreements were concluded in the past quarter, says Mark Bristow, chief executive of Randgold. Kibali is likely to exceed its 2015 production target of 600,000 ounces, Bristow says.
